Pride of place for the season
undoubtedly went to Saints who became Division 1 Champions in dominant fashion,
winning 3 more matches and 7 more points than their nearest rivals! This
followed their previous season's promotion as Champions of Division 2 and the
season before that as Runners-Up of Division 3.
The 9-a-side team again succeeded in remaining in the
First Division and Pilgrims also retained their place in the Six-a-Side Division
2.

in which SCPC played, see the League Archive.

Many apologies for the long delay between 25 March and 28 May when no updates
were made to this site. This was because our web hosts, Hampshire County
Council, introduced a new mechanism for updating hosted websites that forced me
to learn a whole new set of skills, with "documentation" that presupposed that I
already had them. Hopefully, I've cracked it now! [Posted 28 May]

The Playing Committee meeting on Tuesday 17th March decided to institute a new
"Seniors' mêlée" on the 4th Thursday of each month at 10.30am, starting on 23rd
April. Anyone not doing anything else at the time, even if not "Seniors", will
be welcome to join in.
Mavis has agreed to become a "co-opted member" of the Club Committee.
Jill has taken on the 9-a-side captaincy for this year, with Bernie agreeing to
deputise for her on matchdays when she is away.
A Planning Application for the proposed Oasis Academy to be located on part of
the Lord's Hill Outdoor Recreation Centre is expected to be submitted later this
year. It is understood that this will not impact adversely on our terrain, but
your Committee is very concerned about the potentially major negative impact on
car parking for all sports activities. We are keeping in close contact with
Millbrook Rugby Club and other sports club users of the site, and have ensured
the support of Sport England, all of whom share our concerns and, if necessary,
will submit formal objections to any proposal or Planning Application that will
make a sometimes already unacceptable parking situation any worse. [Posted 18
